Abby Snook is a 17 year old senior who attends Central York High School in York, Pennsylvania. She has been studying singing for 11 years, and is currently under the instruction of Mr. Mark Zortman. Abby has also been performing on stage for 12 years in over 35 different shows with community, regional, and professional theatres.
Abby’s favorite theatrical credit was playing the role of “Peter Pan” in Central York High School’s performance of the musical in 2007. Her other favorite roles have included Annie in “Annie”, Oliver in “Oliver” and Mrs. Peacock in “Clue the Musical”. Abby has also been fortunate enough to perform in “Follies” with Broadway veterans Sam Freed & David Masenheimer.
She is also involved in the Central York High School Women’s Chorus, Central York High School “Celebration” Show Choir and York County Senior Honors Choir. She is a representative on the International Thespian Society State Board. Abby plans to attend a conservatory of music and achieve a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Musical Theatre. In May, Abby was fortunate enough to be named York County’s Junior Miss, winning $13,600 in scholarship money from the program.
